The new exterior lighting of Cologne Cathedral has received several prestigious international awards. The project was honoured with the IALD Radiance Award 2026, the highest international distinction in lighting design. In addition, it won both the Structures High Budget category and the overall Best of the Best award at the [d]arc Awards 2026. These awards recognise the successful combination of architectural sensitivity, technical precision, and sustainable lighting design.
